Rudy Lukacovic
Tuesday, August 28th at 6:30 PM, Nick’s Fish House, 2600 Insulator Drive, Baltimore, cash bar and grill- all welcome
Come hear retired Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) fishery biologist and current charterboat mate Rudy Lukacovic discuss his ground-breaking published studies of catch-and-release mortality in rockfish, white perch, and hickory shad. He’ll put special emphasis on hooking mortality and how environmental conditions like water temperature, air temperature, and water salinity affect survival. Rudy’s study of rockfish in the 1990s paved the way for the Susquehanna Flats catch-and-release fishery. He is a careful, thoughtful scientist with years of in-the-field experience and a lot to teach us about relying on science instead of speculation as we follow CCA’s motto to “Fish First!”
