SUMMARY:Rod & Reef Slam : Angling for Oyster Restoration
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a unique fishing tournament that celebrates restored oyster reefs and the difference they make for healthy\, diverse populations of Chesapeake Bay reef fish. Sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Coastal Conservation Association Maryland\, with funding from the National Fish Habitat Partnership. \nParticipate in this FREE fishing event and help collect important information about the many restored oyster reefs throughout the region. \nUnlike a typical fishing tournament\, the Rod and Reef Slam is focused on biodiversity and the variety of species anglers can catch and log using the iAngler Tournament system. \nParticipants may begin fishing on their own on Saturday\, September 12 and submit catches throughout the three-week event.
