Coastal Conservation Association Maryland Kent Narrows Chapter Announces
New Volunteer Leadership and Vision for 2019
STEVENSVILLE, MD (TUESDAY, MARCH 12, 2019) – Coastal Conservation Association Maryland Kent Narrows Chapter is pleased to announce NEW volunteer leadership and an exciting vision for 2019 and beyond! Local anglers, led by Acting Chapter President, Rych Pullen, have created an interim board of directors to revive one of the original and most active CCA Chapters in the area!
The Kent Narrows Chapter is looking to build a solid and inclusive foundation of anglers who have two things in common: a desire to become better anglers and a passion to protect the waters in which we fish. Our vision is a vibrant chapter filled with members from all walks of life, backgrounds, and fishing styles who join together to learn, build friendships, advocate, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!
To fulfill the vision of the chapter, members of the interim board are currently coordinating with CCA Maryland Executive Director David Sikorski and Assistant Director Maggie Hughes. Plans are in place to host quarterly membership meetings, a reef ball building event, and an annual fundraising banquet in the fall. Additionally, this chapter will provide support to one of the premiere fishing tournaments in our area, The Kent Narrows Fly and Light Tackle Tournament.
To kick things off, the first Kent Narrows Chapter Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Fisherman’s Inn. This meeting will include a meet and greet, fish tagging presentation by Mike Brupbacher and “Casting for Spring Shad and Trophy Rockfish” by Shawn Kimbro.
