Sep 12 - Oct 3

Join us for a unique fishing tournament that celebrates restored oyster reefs and the difference they make for healthy, diverse populations of Chesapeake Bay reef fish. Sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Coastal Conservation Association Maryland, with funding from the National Fish Habitat Partnership.
Participate in this FREE fishing event and help collect important information about the many restored oyster reefs throughout the region.
Unlike a typical fishing tournament, the Rod and Reef Slam is focused on biodiversity and the variety of species anglers can catch and log using the iAngler Tournament system.
Participants may begin fishing on their own on Saturday, September 12 and submit catches throughout the three-week event. Weekly prizes will be awarded along the way.
The 2026 Rod and Reef Slam concludes on Saturday, October 3 at Oyster, Blues and Brews, a youth and family fishing event featuring boat trips, shore-based fishing, activities, and prizes for participating anglers.
Virtual Rod and Reef Slam: Sign up here on iAngler Tournament for free, go fishing, and log your catches between September 12 and October 3.
Oyster, Blues and Brews: Anglers interested in participating in one of the October 3 boat trips should register at
OysterBluesandBrews.com.
