In late Nov. CCA member Reilly McCormick and his friends and partners through his organization, the Blackwater Conservation Org. held a Concert for Conservation for CCA Maryland.  This event was held at McGinty’s Public House w/ the Hathway Brothers band keeping the crowd on their feet.  This event raised over $1800 for the Living Reef Action Campaign to support habitat enhancement throughout the Chesapeake Bay.

Just before the holiday break, CCA Life Member Andrew Tsui held an oyster happy hour for his law firm’s holiday party.  Tsui invited our great friends from Shore Thing Shellfish to Greenberg Traurig’s DC office, and held a donation drive which included “Mystery Cooler” raffles.

Winners took home brand new Engel Drybox Coolers, and plenty of great treats for the holiday, including oysters!

This event also raised just shy of $2k for CCA’s important work in the region, while supporting local watermen who are working hard to grow and provide fresh oysters for the region to enjoy.

These two events are a perfect example of the way that CCA members go above and beyond to support our work here, and throughout our network of chapters around the country.

Do you want to help organize an event with your friends or office?   Give us a shout at information@ccamd.org and we’ll get to work in planning a way that you can help in 2024!
