On Saturday, March 7, 2026, the Kent Narrows Chapter of CCA Maryland hosted its annual Celebration of Conservation at the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department. Nearly 100 dedicated anglers, conservationists, and community supporters gathered for an evening centered around the shared mission of protecting and enhancing Maryland’s marine resources.

The evening featured a raw oyster bar, open bar, and a catered dinner prepared by Metropolitan Kitchen, providing the perfect backdrop for conversation and connection among supporters of the organization’s mission. Throughout the night, guests participated in silent and live auctions, along with an exciting raffle, generating strong support for ongoing conservation programs.

A highlight of the evening was the strong community backing that made the event possible. The Kent Narrows Chapter extends special appreciation to Frosty’s Heating & Cooling, Inc., the Title Sponsor for the 2026 Celebration of Conservation. Their generous support helped make the evening possible and demonstrated a strong commitment to preserving the Chesapeake Bay’s fisheries and habitats for future generations.

Events like the Kent Narrows Celebration of Conservation are a great example of CCA Maryland’s grassroots model. Local chapters bring together anglers, businesses, and conservation advocates who share a passion for ensuring that the Chesapeake Bay remains a thriving ecosystem and a world-class recreational fishery. Proceeds from the banquet directly support the organization’s work to conserve, promote, and enhance marine resources and protect anglers’ access to them.

CCA Maryland thanks everyone who attended, volunteered, donated auction items, and supported the event. The success of the evening reflects the strength of the Kent Narrows community and its dedication to conservation.
