On Wednesday Dec. 18th, the Hollicutts Noose Reef Site in Eastern Bay, received 140 reef balls.
A popular summer fishing location, the site is located at the Southern end of Kent Island, due south of Long Point and due east of Kent Point. The reef balls were placed in 17′ on firm bottom. This project was completed in partnership with the Maryland Artificial reef initiative, and overseen by DNR reef coordinator, Mike Malpezzi. Maguire Marine set the reef balls in a variable pattern across the site. More specific numbers for the deployment location on the reef site will be provided at a later date.
