Join CCA Maryland for a relaxed evening at the brand-new DC Tackle Shop at The Yards Marina. DC Tackle Shop is a hybrid hub for the local fishing community and a great waterfront hangout for everyone else. Captain Tim Blanchard of Fish the Potomac Charters, will share insights and strategies for fishing the Potomac and other waterways.

Reel Invasion Fishing Derby & Outreach Event
Sunday, June 7 | Anacostia Park
CCA Maryland is teaming up with MD DNR and DC DOEE for Anacostia River’s Reel Invasion, a free public fishing derby and outreach event focused on invasive fish species impacting Maryland and D.C. waters.
The event includes fishing demonstrations, filleting demos, educational activities, door prizes, and invasive species weigh-ins—all designed to educate anglers and encourage stewardship of local waterways.
